Join certified Mahjong instructor Kim Meier for a beginner-level series of classes to learn the basics of the tile-based game, American Mahjong, which combines elements of luck and strategy.

Take the stage at Pequot Library! In this fun, four-week program, children will bring a picture book to life by creating and performing their own short play on our historic stage.

Can’t sit still? This is the program for you! Jump, hop, dance, and wiggle to the music.

Calling all heroes and storytellers! Step into a world of magic, mystery, and epic quests in Pequot Library’s winter Dungeons & Dragons campaign.

We are thrilled to welcome Liz Moore to discuss her latest work, The God of the Woods, an instant New York Times bestseller and one of NPR’s 2024 “Books We Love” highlights.

Infants and their caregivers are welcome to come and play. Engage your little one with 20 minutes of stories, rhymes, and songs and 25 minutes of free play and socializing.

This group of experienced knitters meets most Thurs. mornings between 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Email Marjorie at mfpickerstein@gmail.com to be included, and she’ll communicate any changes to the schedule.

Adventurers Wanted! Join Pequot Library for a three-week quest into the world of Dungeons & Dragons! Kids in grades 3–5 will face mythical creatures, and explore magical lands—all through the power of imagination.

Great Lawn Astronomy returns this fall! When the nights get longer we will bring the telescope back out for views of Saturn, Jupiter, the moon, and more! This program will meet weekly for stargazing if the skies are clear.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of extraordinary talent at the Final Round of the 2026 Marianne Liberatore Memorial Instrumental Competition — where some of Connecticut and Westchester’s finest high school musicians compete for top honors!

A weekly club for kids who already know how to play chess and are looking for opponents. Players will compete for the top position on the club’s chess ladder—a leaderboard that will carry over from session to session.

Join Music for Youth for a magical evening of music and storytelling—anyone is welcome to attend!

Be wowed by GCTYO’s most accomplished musicians as they vie for a $500 prize and the chance to perform as soloist at the Spring Concert! The GCTYO Concerto Competition is open to Principal Orchestra musicians in GCTYO only. Admission is free.
